Ploterre A4 Where The Wildflowers Grow Print
Nature has a way of creating the most harmonious colour palettes, and this print celebrates that in a beautifully unique way. Mapping the wildflowers of the UK, each blade of grass represents a 10km square of the country, arranged by grid reference—from the Shetland Isles in the top right to the Scilly Isles in the bottom left.
Using data from three of the UK's most common grasses and plants—Yorkshire Fog, Nettles, and Common Grass—this edition highlights where wildflowers could grow across the landscape. The flowers themselves, including poppies, cornflowers, corn marigolds, and the newly introduced ox-eye daisy, appear in the squares where they have been recorded, with taller flowers representing greater abundance.
This edition builds on the now sold-out risograph print, incorporating fluorescent inks for vibrant colour and a holographic gold-foiled roof on the cabin—catching the light just as wildflowers catch the sun.
