This Deeside Way companion guide is for curious wanderers, to accompany and enhance your exploration of the 41-mile waymarked path, from the city of Aberdeen, through the towns, villages and hamlets of beautiful Deeside and into the Cairngorms National Park. With simple maps, notes, recommendations and words from locals connected to the 'Way', this guide offers 40 points of interest on the path and beyond, from cafes and castles, to Pictish stones, railway heritage and the plaque at Nan Shepherd's home. Included in the book are additional walks that can be easily accessed on and off the path. It also features the neighbouring villages of Crathie and Braemar, popular with outdoor enthusiasts and the original intended stopping point of the Royal Deeside Railway Line - the reason the path exits.
